Feathertop has become a pseudo champion of this variety in Australia. The growing number of accolades for our early vintages of Savagnin reflect its suitability to the Alpine Valley's climate and soils. We love its chequered history, the fact it was mistakenly brought into Australia as Albarino and its downright drinkability.
This Savagnin has lovely aromatics of citrus fruit and florals with hints of nutmeg spice. The palate is fine yet mouth-filling with a soft texture and crisp acid structure. A wine bursting with vibrant flavours of lemon, lime, a touch of spice and floral aromatics. The palate is a harmonious balance of mouth-filling texture and fresh, crisp acidity. Drink with a straw under the tree on the lawn!
Enjoy with: roast pork, poultry and mildly spiced Asian fare.
