Wedding season 2020- 2021 will go down in the history books as probably the most memorable!
Most people find some part of planning a wedding stressful, from which flowers you would like, to what colour dresses the bridesmaids should wear. Planning a wedding sees you make more choices and decisions than you would in any regular 6 month period, now throw the changing rules of Covid… and that’s what couples had to deal with this year. Our Feathertop wedding season kicked off in the last week of February with the lovely Christine & John (a postponement from December 2019), and from there it didn’t stop until the 8th May when we finished with the wedding of Lucy & Chris.
Our wedding season saw some postponements and some record breaking timelines… Anna & Tom taking the Feathertop award for this with a wedding planned for over 100 people in 7 weeks! The summer weddings were full of lush green backdrops and turned into autumn reds, yellows and oranges in early March. This gave our March couples the best of both worlds with warm weather and colourful backdrops.
Even though the thought of shut downs and border closures did loom over us at times, all of our couples were so resilient and gracious throughout. It is always a privilege to be apart of any special occasion, however the 2020-2021 was very special. As more than ever we supported couples through “planning in a pandemic”, which was new to us all, but just quietly we think we have become experts!
We are also very excited that our 2021-2022 wedding season is almost fully booked. There are a few dates left, so if you’re thinking about getting married please let us know! We look forward to being apart of your special day! We also love hosting our special couples for future anniversary’s or any other day of the year! If you can’t get here to remember us simply buy your Prosecco online and cheers to a very memorable day!
Love Mel & Courtney
