After the tough vintage conditions of the 2017 harvest resulted in a much leaner, drier Vermentino that year, it is wonderful to see our 2018 version return to its’ gloriously textured self. Still displaying the fruit vibrancy we know and love of this variety, the perfect vintage conditions in 2018 has allowed the development of the famed ‘slippery’ texture that makes this variety so alluring. Flavours of fresh pears, grapefruit pith, stone fruit and fresh almonds are interwoven in a web of crisp natural acidity. The textured palate will continue to develop in the coming months, making what is already a fabulous food wine even more versatile. We are confident that this is one of our finest Vermentino’s to date.
Enjoy with: Fresh and lightly cooked seafood, especially sardines.
