Sangiovese, Italy’s most famous and widely planted red wine variety, has found its’ Australian spiritual home in Victoria’s North East. We have had a love affair with Sangiovese for many years but held off planting it in the Feathertop vineyard until we could source the best clones that slowly became available out of Italy. Our patience has been richly rewarded with our 2018 Sangiovese, which we believe is our best one to date. Complex flavours of sour dark cherry, black olives, sweet ripe tomatoes and dried herbs lead to a savoury palate balanced by firm, dry tannins. A fabulous food friendly wine that will bring out the Italian in all of us!!
