Description
Our homage to a little-known French wine style, made from Feathertop estate-grown Pinot Gris. Fruit for the Gris de Gris is picked earlier than for our full-blown Pinot Gris, allowing for the retention of more natural acidity and producing more subtle, complex fruit characters. The grapes are then crushed and allowed some time to macerate prior to pressing, which extracts some colour, texture and extra flavour compounds from the grape skins. The result is an exciting wine bursting with flavours of orange blossom, nashi pear, citrus and an almost fairy-floss-like character. The palate is a mesh of fine natural acidity and talc-like phenolics which leave the palate crisp, dry and screaming for more. A perfect wine to get you through the long, hot summer.
Enjoy with: Antipasto, poultry and lightly cooked seafood
