The reputation of Merlot in this country has been damaged by big wine companies overcropping vines planted in some of the hottest wine regions in Australia, producing thin, simple wines that lack varietal expression. In the cool climate of the Feathertop Vineyard in Victoria’s Alpine Valleys, we are doing our best to reinstate Merlots’ glory as one of the most beautiful wines of the world. Our 2018 Merlot shows complex, mouth filling flavours of rich spiced plums, blackberries, sweet spice and dried herbs. Soft, velvety tannins leave the finish long and dry.
