Feathertop has been raising money for women in our local region who are going through or recovering from cancer, via our annual Ladies Day Out luncheon for the last eight years. This event attracts 120 women whom come to enjoy a fun afternoon of food, wine and music and to support our sisters in need.
The aim of Ladies Day Out is to provide an avenue of support that directly benefits people in our local community. The first year’s initiative saw the winery purchase a large amount of televisions for the Myrtleford/Bright Hospitals before the development of the Spoil Me Day events which now also include events for mens health issues.
Since the fundraising began, the team together with the local community have raised over $16,000 for the Spoil Me Day Trust Fund. The money from this trust fund enables the winery to put on a “Spoil Me Day” pampering day for local women on the cancer journey. We provide a four course lunch with wines, treatments and gift bags and recruit a support team of masseuses, hairdressers, speakers and make-up artists to pamper the ladies at the completion of their complimentary lunch and drinks. This day is completely free of charge for the ladies and their carers.
