Easter and the Autumn school holidays are fast approaching, wasn’t it only just Christmas! If you are coming to visit, we have many opportunities for you to enjoy. Just a tip that we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. 

Cellar Door & Feathertop Providore:

  • Open 7 days from Friday April 5th to Sunday 28th April, 11am-5pm.

Stone & Barrel Restaurant:

  • Open 7 days from Friday 5th April to Monday 22nd, then Thursday 25th April to Sunday 28th April, 12pm-3pm.
  • Bookings for Good Friday, Easter Saturday & Easter Sunday will be on a set shared two course banquet menu at $60pp. Feathertop will be in contact prior to the day with further details. Book HerePLEASE NOTE EASTER SUNDAY IS BOOKED OUT.

Kate Miller Heidke LIVE at Feathertop

Kate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer-songwriter and indie pop darling who will be coming to Feathertop to perform a special outdoor concert on Saturday, February 16, 2019.

Kate effortlessly traverses the worlds of contemporary pop, folk and opera. You won't want to miss the chance to see this talented performer play live in the picturesque surrounds of the Feathertop Winery estate.

Support Acts & Performance Times
Arrive early and check out local support acts Adam Lindsay and Danielle Murgida between 3:30pm - 5:30pm. Kate Miller- Heidke is on stage 6pm-7:30pm. Event concludes at 9pm.

Food, Food, Food!
Feathertop's Stone & Barrel Restaurant will offer local produce platters. There will also be outside food vendors cooking up a storm including Spirit of Java, An Choi Vietnamese and Bright Football and Netball Club roast beef and gravy, coleslaw rolls. Available from 4pm.

Porepunkah Pub Special Offer
The after party is @PunkaPub in the heart of Porepunkah. They'd like to offer all ticket holders a Special deal... Buy a main meal and receive a FREE schooner or local beer or a glass of Feathertop Wine. Show your ticket to redeem!

TICKETS NOW ON SALE for multi-platinum selling and five-time ARIA award-winning singer and songwriter Katie Noonan. She returns with her ARIA Award winning jazz trio ‘Elixir’ featuring Zac Hurren – for a magical evening of music and poetry on Easter Saturday 20th April @ Feathertop Winery.

Elixir has enjoyed much success and great commendation along the way including: an ARIA Award (Best Jazz Album 2011), 13 weeks at #1 on the ARIA Jazz Chart, TV & Festival appearances. The trio exists to explore new musical opportunities and relationships and thrives in unusual collaborative environments. Elixir seeks to explore the relationship between text and sound and celebrate great Australian poetry. 

The concert will be performed in the winery’s “Vaults”, a subterranean concrete space that will be a unique setting to showcase a combination of poetry, angelic vocals and sublime improvisation. Ladies Day Out 2018 raises $7000 for our Spoil Me Day Charity

On Saturday December 8, we hosted our 10th annual Ladies Day Out event which has raised over $50000 since it began. This is a favourite event in the Feathertop calendar. It not only brings around 145 women together for a day full of food, wine, love, laughter and dancing it raises much needed funds for our charity.  We are very excited to announce that this year we have raised $7000. 

The money raised enables us to put on our “Spoil Me Day” pampering day for local women on their cancer journey. We provide a four course lunch with wines, treatments and gift bags and recruit a support team of masseuses, hairdressers, speakers and make-up artists to pamper the ladies at the completion of their complimentary lunch and drinks. This day is completely free of charge for the ladies and their carers. 

We were extremely proud of Kel and Janelle's daughter Zara, who cut off 40cms of her hair to donate it to the @HairwithHeart charity for wigs. She has currently raised almost $2000, over a $1000 of that was from Ladies Day Out! What an amazing young lady and group of women you are in supporting her. The 2017 Feathertop Fiano - gold, gold, gold!

Kel FianoThe smile says it all!

After 30 years our 2017 Fiano has not only been awarded gold at the Rutherglen Wine Show,  but it was also awarded the JCBrown Trophy for ‘The BEST Australian dry white wine from grapes grown in North East Victoria’!

To add to this medal tally, the 2017 Fiano won gold and the 2016 Friulano won Silver at the Alternate Varieties Wineshow this month. This was a great result for the Alpine Valleys wine region where a total of 5 gold medals were awarded - that's 10% of the total entries!

And in the September/October 2018 edition of WineState Magazine, the Fiano received 4 stars.

Feathertop’s Alfresco Dining Restaurant to rebrand as Stone & Barrel, refresh dining concepts

Feathertop Winery in Porepunkah is rebranding and relaunching its restaurant.

The winery’s restaurant which features a Tuscan style outdoor terrace overlooking Mount Buffalo, said it will revamp and rename Feathertop Alfresco Dining Restaurant as Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop – in a nod to the handcrafted stone work featured on the estate by owner and chief winemaker Kel Boynton.

Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop will relaunch on Friday 12th October.

For 10 years now Feathertop has been the pioneer of the “moveable restaurant” concept, offering the ultimate in outdoor fine dining experiences for locals and visitors to North East Victoria. The newly named Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop will continue to be set outside on the Stone Terrace on all good weather days, where guests can sit back and enjoy their lunch under the lush vine leaf canopy framed by antique timbers and mountain views. During the cooler months, the restaurant is set in the nostalgic warmth of the Barrel Room, where you can dine amongst towering wine barrels and still enjoy the misty mountain vistas.

Head Chef Simon Buckley and Sous Chef Robert Clarkson will continue to lead the culinary operations. They have created a new look menu for spring which can be enjoyed as a sharing style feast amongst friends if desired, perfect for the long summer days ahead. The menu will continue to feature dishes sourced from local Alpine Valleys produce and the estate kitchen garden and with a contemporary take on the classics.

In addition to the refreshed menu, the wine list will expand to include specialty cocktails including gin and tonic featuring Reed & Co’s Remedy Gin, apple cider by Wandiligong’s Alpine Cider, craft beer by Blizzard Brewing Company Dinner Plain and a rotating selection of wines from different wine regions,

“At Feathertop we stick to the principle of seasonal, local, Australian produce and we couldn’t be more thrilled to relaunch the restaurant with a new look menu that draws on Rob’s (ex Simones of Bright) Italian cooking background and my French trained techniques. Enjoying a leisurely lunch experience out on the Stone Terrace has created many special memories for our guests and wine club members over the years and together with our team we are excited about the opportunity to elevate these offerings on our menu.” said Simon.

Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop is open for lunch Friday to Sunday 12-3pm with extended trading days during school and public holidays. You can order off the menu a la carte style or for great value, try their two or three course specials matched to wines. Bookings are recommended and essential during peak times. Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop is also available for private functions and degustation experiences.  

The Feathertop Providore, the winery’s relaxed, DIY grazing platter picnic option, is also available from the cellar door stocking a constantly changing range of artisan meats, cheeses, dips, fresh baguettes. Open during cellar door hours 11am-5pm Friday-Sunday.


Feathertop to host a new spring inspired cosmopolitan market event - SpringFest

For the first time the grounds of Feathertop Winery estate will be transformed into a cosmopolitan market and foodie lovers heaven with a new event, SpringFest. 

With the return of sunny days and the vibrancy of spring’s new season produce, Feathertop Winery is inviting locals and visitors to come together and feast on the freshest seasonal artisan produce at the inaugural SpringFest on October 6, 2018.

The family friendly event will include a range of local producers from the Alpine and surrounding Valleys on their picturesque estate as well as plenty of fun filled activities for all ages to enjoy.

Stall holders confirmed so far include Mt Buffalo Olives, Blizzard Brewing Company, Peak Pantry, Reed & Co Distillery, Sixpence Coffee and Gamze Smokehouse with more to be announced. Program events include:

  • Photography exhibition by award winning landscape photographer Mieke Boynton (October 6-31).
  • Spring release of Feathertop Winery’s new vintages
  • Kids cooking and cake decorating classes
  • Kids face painting
  • Food Stalls
  • Coffee and house made sweets
  • Live music by Adam Lindsay
  • Meet and greet with the Feathertop winemaker
  • Wine samples/ tastings
  • Cooking demonstrations
  • Vineyard tours

In addition to the SpringFest program of events, Feathertop's cellar door, Providore and Alfresco Restaurant will be open as usual so visitors are welcome to stay for lunch and soak up the carnival atmosphere.

Organiser of the event, Courtney Rossiter, said “the response from local businesses has been so positive. We are excited to be launching a new event that showcases the range of food and wine experiences that we do here at Feathertop.”

“It's going to be a great opportunity for the community to shop locally and enjoy the excellent produce that we have available right here in Bright and surrounds.  We're also excited about the exhibition space we have for local creatives where they can showcase their talents; and with loads of entertainment for the whole family, we look forward to welcoming everyone for a fantastic spring day out!”

Admission is by a gold coin donation to Feathertop's Spoil Me Trust Fund which goes towards our pampering days for local women on the cancer journey.

Coming to Feathertop this Summer! Introducing the Peak To Creek Summer Ale

So what do you do when you can't hack back to back skiing and the kids can? You retreat to Blizzard Brewery at Dinner Plain and plant the seeds for a collaboration beer project before the lifts have closed!
