Plus a FREE FEATHERTOP STUBBY HOLDER*

How long is it since you had a weekend with your mates?? We have put together a great suggested itinerary for you. Round up a couple of mates and head to the stunning Alpine Valleys. Enjoy wine (and beer) around our fire pit, golf, bike riding and wine tasting with Nick. Plus, for a limited time each member of your group will receive a FREE Feathertop stubby holder*!

This itinerary is based around staying in our Mt Buffalo View Apartment and/or Peggy Adelaide Suite. This is to get the most out of the experience. Alternatively, you could stay at the Porepunkah Pub for a more casual setting.

Day One

Arrive at Feathertop Winery, book into your accommodation. Unpack and open a beer or pour a wine on arrival and enjoy the provided afternoon nibbles. First night, dinner at the Porepunkah Pub.

Day Two

Up and adam, enjoy your complimentary breakfast hamper. Head off for a game of golf at the Bright Golf Course. Bright’s course is considered one of Victoria’s best regional courses. It is generally flat to undulating and covers over 50 hectares. Hire a buggy and off you go! There is no food outlet on site. If you need food you could use some items from your complimentary afternoon nibbles. Alternatively head into Bright shops to purchase some snacks.

You’ll be hungry after a full round of golf! We suggest you grab a fantastic hamburger from Bright Burgerville at the Gavan Street. Or from one of the other takeaway around the area. Head back to the winery for an afternoon to regale your winning shots!

Once at the winery we will light the fire pit and provide you with a tasting of our wines. We can also organise food for you here, just let us know. Dinner at the pub or delivered to your door tonight.

You could easily extend your stay and tour the other fantastic golf courses in our region; Myrtleford Golf Club, Mount Beauty Golf Club, Jubilee Golf Club in Wangaratta, or Corowa Golf Club.

Day Three

After breaky grab your bikes (your own or we can arrange hire) and travel the rail trail. For a shorter ride head to Bright (6km) or even onto Germantown (another 5km). Return to the Rail Trail Café in Porepunkah for lunch. For a longer ride you could ride to Myrtleford (24km) or to Beechworth (35km). Stop for lunch half way through your ride at one of the fantastic cafes or restaurants.

This might have your day done but you could also consider booking an experience at Feathertop Winery. We can recommend a “Behind the Vines” experience we Nick Toy our winemaker. An experience that takes you to the inner sanctum of the winery and finishes with a wine tasting with Nick.

Again enjoy dinner at the Porepunkah Pub or let us arrange something for you. We can spark up the fire pit again as well!

Day Four/Five… Seven!

As mentioned in our other recent itinerary’s (see here) there are many other activities to enjoy in the region, such as bush walking, food and wine tours and snow activities in Winter.

We suggest you finish your get away with breaky out at a local café. Or enjoy your complimentary breaky hamper) and plan your next mates getaway!

*Book and stay before 31st August 2021.
