Don Mungos – Bright
We had been looking forward to Bright’s newest addition for a while so when we heard they were opening we booked in straight away to only be locked down days before, thankfully I re booked for the following week and we were able to go.
Before even entering you know this place is going to be a great addition to the town.
As you walk through you are greeted by the friendly floor team and taken to your table. There are six rooms inside, all with a different style and feel. The bar-kitchen and entrance to outdoor seating are located towards to back of the building. No detail has been left out with this revamp of the old Gallery 90 shop, with more still to come.
The menu itself is amazing, such creative names and something for everyone to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the Brussel sprouts! However, you do come here for the pizza and what a treat that was!
Our group of 10 tried a few different ones but my favourite was the “Gochi X Dsk”, a Japanese style pizza! I do feel like I must mention the dough…. Michael my husband and Feathertop Vineyard manager will now no longer make pizza dough at home unless he tries it this way! It is left to rest for at least 48 hours to reach its minimum ferment requirements – what a joy it is to eat (even the next day)!
The drinks menu is extensive with a great cocktail list. I only got to try the one, Coconut Smash, but it was great!
Do yourself a favour and check this one out when you are next in town! The best part is they take bookings. So, I recommend you head to their website and lock in your table early. I have no doubt this place will be the go-to for the Spring, Summer, and Autumn!
