As our company has grown, our team has developed and I am delighted to acknowledge our team as the reason that we have such an amazing company.
Many of you have built close relationships with our team over the years and we are proud to say that many have been with us for around a decade.
Kel and Assistant Winemaker Nick Toy continue oversee to the outdoor departments including vineyard and winery. Evan Smith is Kel's right hand man in the vineyard, always ensuring our property looks incredible, including the gardens and vineyard, and going above and beyond our expectations on a continual basis.
I take on the overall management role including strategy and finance.
Jodie Chester continues to run the day to day finance and after 10+ years’ service she is affectionately known as “The Oracle”, a walking talking encyclopaedia on all things Feathertop! Rose McIlroy is our cellar door ambassador who has also reached the 10 year milestone at Feathertop and has her name on our Riesling label – that shows how much she loves her Riesling! Eliza Stokie looks after our very important Summit Cru members and continues to fly the Feathertop flag at every opportunity.
Simon Buckley and Robbie Clarkson, along with apprentice Caroline Hodge, are our dynamo chefs who continue to create amazing meals and house made produce for our deli range while Courtney Rossiter continues to do a stellar job as Weddings, Functions and Events Manager.
Our restaurant with its beautiful views is run by a fantastic team of who all provide excellent customer service and do their utmost to ensure your dining experience is the best it can be.
As we have looked innovatively at our business, we have added some roles and departments to continue to deliver our renowned exceptional customer service with the addition of despatch, concierge and team leadership. Over the past twelve months we have been delighted to welcome some more management support to our team. Zoe Cooper is our Direct Sales and Marketing Manager who also helps out on the Myrtleford Festival Committee, Laurie Coates is our Cellar Door and Despatch manager; Natalie O’Callaghan is in charge of Deli and Naomi Armstrong to manage our reception and accommodation reservations.
Even though everyone has their allocated positions, they are all true all-round superstars – as on a busy day it is ‘all hands on deck’ and it is not uncommon on these days to see Jodie in Deli, Nick, Zoe and Eliza assisting in cellar door, Courtney and Laurie in restaurant and at our functions and events. Even Evan knows how to make a very good latte!
Our permanent team of 20 are supported by our many casuals always striving to provide the best customer experiences and service.
Together this team shares a vision to make Feathertop the employer of choice to ensure true sustainability. We share our vision and values with you, as our customers, making you an integral part of our family. We strive to make sure we have balance (sometimes harder than we would like) but the rewards are shared with a strategy of staff profit sharing.
